Kason turned 8 years old!

Big day!

He had a little party with a couple friends where we went mini golfing and had cake.

Turns out he ended up not feeling well for the rest of the day, but I think he had a great time nonetheless!

He is sure growing up and seems old!

At 8 years old kids in our church can also choose to be baptized!

Kason chose to be baptized and was very well prepared.

We had alot of talks about it and he understood what he was doing pretty well!

March 7th

Father and son!

We are so grateful both of our families came and for their support! It was really a great baptism. I was making cookies the day before to get ready for the baptism and the power ended up going out for 8 hours!  From 1:00pm - 9:00pm.  Normally would have been a fun adventure, showing us that we need to be more prepared and self sufficent, but it worried me a little this day!  My parents went with the flow and we went out to dinner and came home and only had to be with candles and flashlights for a little while.  Fun memories!

Prego pictures make me cringe!  Like everything else in this photo though!

Emry wasn't feeling well this day, I'm just glad she made it through!

Yes, this was the best one.

I'm glad Kason made this decision and for the boy he is!

It was a flurry of events for a week or two.  Right after he turned 8, he started cub scouts and it was the pinewood derby right off the bat!

His car was last place in every race and I could tell he tried to shrug it off for awhile, but eventually this sensitive, competitive boy got a little upset.  However, his car did look awesome and he won 1st place for Best In Show!
